Community Guidelines

Who they apply to

They apply to anyone who writes to us, joins the newsletter, or later uses a ReOwnIt community if one is opened. They also describe the kind of exchange we think is worth building toward: honest, specific, and willing to hear a no.

Be honest about things

Describe condition, missing parts, and history you know about. Do not imply that an item is safer, newer, or more complete than it is. Do not present this marketing site as a shop that can take an order.

Be decent to people

No harassment, threats, or discrimination. No pressure on someone who has declined a trade, a loan, or a subscription. A refused exchange is allowed to end there.

Do not offer what should not circulate

Even after a marketplace exists, some things do not belong there. Do not offer stolen goods, recalled products you know are unsafe, or anything you are not allowed to transfer. In India, do not offer:

• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or other weapons.
• Drugs and other controlled substances.
• Prescription medicines.
• Alcohol, unless you are legally allowed to sell it where the exchange happens.
• Wildlife and articles made from protected species.
• Personal data, account passwords, and financial instruments. These are not pre-owned products.

Do not abuse the website

Do not scrape the site in a way that degrades it, submit forms in bulk, or subscribe an address that is not yours. Do not send malware or attempt to break into the server.

If something is wrong

Write to hello@reownit.in or use the contact form. Include what happened and how to reach you. We may remove a newsletter address or refuse a message. We cannot freeze an account or reverse a payment, because this site has neither.

Changes

When the apps have real community tools, replace this page with rules that match those tools, including who enforces them and what a person can appeal. Operator: ReOwnIt.
