Who we are

This website is operated by ReOwnIt, Bangalore. In this draft, “ReOwnIt”, “we”, and “us” mean that operator. Contact: hello@reownit.in.

What this website is

This is a marketing and information site. It explains a platform that is still being built, publishes articles, answers messages, and collects email addresses from people who ask for updates. It does not create marketplace accounts, process payments, or host listings.

The ReOwnIt web app and mobile app are not available. This policy does not describe those products. Write a separate policy before they launch if they collect different information.

Information we collect

• Newsletter. Your email address, the fact that you consented, the form you used, the time of signup, and a hash of the IP address. We do not store the raw IP address for this purpose.
• Contact form. Your name, email address, subject, message, the time it was sent, and a hash of the IP address. If you arrived from a campaign link, we also keep the campaign parameters on that link, such as source, medium, campaign, term, content, and click identifiers, plus the landing address and referrer.
• Session cookie. A cookie named reownit_session so the site can protect forms and show a success or error message after you submit one. It is an essential cookie and expires when you close the browser.
• Analytics. Google Analytics 4 runs on every page. Google receives the page address, referrer, a coarse location derived from your IP address, browser and device details, and how you move through the site. Google Analytics 4 does not store the full IP address. The script also sets first-party cookies named _ga and a second cookie whose name starts with _ga_. Those cookies can last up to two years, so later visits can be recognised as the same browser. There is no consent banner before this runs.

We do not ask for payment cards, government identity numbers, or precise location. Please do not send those in a message.

Why we use it

We use newsletter details to send the updates you requested, on the basis of your consent from the agreement box. You can withdraw that consent by asking us to delete the address. We use contact details only to read and reply to the message you sent. We use the session cookie, and a hash of the IP address, to run the forms, reduce spam, and avoid showing a stale confirmation. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how people arrive. That measurement starts when the page loads, without a separate consent choice.

Where it is stored

If MySQL is configured, records are stored in the site database using prepared statements. If it is not configured, they are stored in JSON files on the server, in a directory that is not meant to be public. The server is in Mumbai, India.

How long we keep it

Newsletter records are kept until you ask us to delete the address, or we remove it. Contact messages are kept until we have replied and no longer need them, or until you ask us to delete them. Session data lives only for the browser session.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal information. Newsletter addresses and contact messages are stored on the website server in Mumbai, India, hosted by Hostinger International Limited. The database is on that same server. We do not send those records through an email delivery service. Page-view data is processed by Google (Google LLC and its affiliates) under Google Analytics. Google may process that data in the United States and other countries. Google’s description is at policies.google.com/privacy. Records we store ourselves stay on the Mumbai server. The Google transfer is covered by Google’s terms.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete a newsletter address or a contact message by emailing hello@reownit.in. Say which address you used. You can also ask for a summary of the personal data we hold, ask us to correct or complete it, and withdraw your consent for newsletter updates.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and the newsletter is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

We use access controls on the server, output escaping, prepared SQL statements when the database is on, and a session cookie marked HttpOnly. These are ordinary precautions. They are not a guarantee that information cannot be lost or accessed by someone it should not reach.

Changes

If this website starts collecting new kinds of information, or if the apps launch, this page should be updated first. The date at the top is the date of this draft, not a certification date.
